SUNDAY 5 MAY 2024 - UNDER 14 COMPETITION

4th edition

We welcome you to the second edition of this competition, entirely and exclusively dedicated to children, with which you want to create a new meeting opportunity, promote dance and stimulate the creativity of this art that involves thousands of young and very young people. The accepted styles are Classical Dance and Modern-Contemporary.

                                                    

REGULATION

ART. 1: DESCRIPTION

The competition is reserved for amateur dance schools and is open to dancers between the ages of 6 and 14. Students and teachers of Areadanza, the organizing body, are not allowed to participate.

Failure to comply with the regulations may result in exclusion from the competition.

 

ART. 2: SECTIONS AND CATEGORIES

The competition is open to dancers aged between 6 and 14. There are no exceptions for soloists. As regards two-person passes, trio and groups, upon notification at the time of registration, 1 non-quota for every 4 elements will be admitted, as long as this does not exceed the required age for more than 1 year. Otherwise the group will be placed in the higher age group.

Maximum duration of the choreographies: Soloists 2.00 minutes - 2/3/4 3.00 minutes - Groups 4.00 minutes

CLASSICAL-NEOCLASSICAL DANCE : any repertoire pieces are allowed. The use of points is only allowed in the Junior category.

MODERN-CONTEMPORARY DANCE : any repertoire pieces are allowed.

BABY (Born in 2016, 2017 and 2018): GROUPS

CHILDREN (Born in 2013, 2014 and 2015): SOLOISTS / 2-4 (DUO-TRIO-QUARTETS) / GROUPS

JUNIOR (Born in 2010, 2011 and 2012): SOLOISTS / 2-4 (DUO-TRIO-QUARTETS) / GROUPS

CHALLENGE 1 VS 1 MODERN-CONTEMPORARY IMPROVISATION reserved for those who have already entered the competition in the other categories. Competitors will be called on stage in small groups, improvising on a surprise music and on a theme chosen on the spot (eg water, electricity, animals, etc ...), for 1 minute. The jury will select the candidates who will have access to the 1 vs 1 challenge phase with similar methods, up to the final that will decide the winner.

The organization reserves the right to cancel or merge some categories, should a small number of subscribers frustrate the show and the spirit of confrontation and competition, which animates the competition.

 

ART. 3: AWARDS

In each category, prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, which consist of medals, plaques, scholarships and free registrations for partner events. In the 1 vs 1 Challenge, 1st and 2nd place will be awarded.

 

ART. 4: JURY AND EVALUATION CRITERIA

The technical jury will be made up of international judges, accustomed to working with dance schools and children. The judgments of the technical jury are absolutely unquestionable and unappealable. The result is the mathematical sum of the marks expressed by the judges.  

 

ART. 5: REGISTRATION, TIMES, METHODS AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTATIONS

Pre-registration is required by sending an email to piccolitalenti@aol.com . Once the confirmation has been received, the following documentation can be sent by 25 APRIL 2024  (unless the maximum number of choreographies allowed is reached. In this case, registrations will be closed in advance):

• Mod. 1 (school form with list of students - one for each school)

• Mod 2 (registration form - one for each registered choreography)

• Copy of the enrollment payment (a single and total payment for each school)

• Music (only in MP3 format. Rename the file with: "school name + choreography title". In the case of several large files, use www.wetransfer.com )

• Mod 1 (school form with list of students - only one)

• Mod 3 (student form - one for each student - with attached copy of the medical certificate )

NB All required documentation must be received by 25 APRIL 2024.

ART. 6: REGISTRATION FEES

SOLOISTS: € 60 per choreography.

2-4 (DUO, TRIO and QUARTETS): € 80 per choreography

GROUPS  (at least 5 people): € 20 per dancer

CHALLENGE 1 VS 1: € 15 per challenger (must already be registered in the competition in the other categories).

Payment is to be made by single deposit by bank transfer to the C / C BIC / SWIFT code: BAPPIT21T03 and IBAN: IT93R0503413903000000002249 of the Cassa Risparmio Pisa Lucca and Livorno in the name of Areadanza ssdrl, with REASON: Name of the School - Piccoli Talenti 2024.

Please DO NOT make payments in the name of private individuals . The registration fee will in no case be refundable for impediments not due to the organization.

ART. 7: METHOD OF CONDUCT OF THE COMPETITION j

TIMETABLE: the indicative times are: BABY and CHILDREN from 09:30 to 13:00, improvisation challenges and awards ceremony - JUNIOR from 15:00 to 20:00, improvisation challenges and awards ceremony. This articulation is indicative and may undergo variations, in the event that there is a small number of participants. The official times will be communicated by email once registration is closed and published on this site.

STAGE: The Competition will take place entirely in the Persio Flacco Theater in Volterra (Pisa). The stage measures 10 x 9 meters, 7% inclination, 2 wings per side and back passage

​

TESTS: there are no tests. After the Check-in, until the beginning of the competition, it will be possible to visit the stage for the space test. The space test will be collective, so we ask you to use as little time as possible, leaving everyone the same opportunity.

CHECK-IN: Check-In starts at 08:30 and the person in charge of each school will collect the passes. Each teacher must have a backup music medium ( MP3 on USB stick only - NO CDs, DVDs or cell phones ), to be used in an emergency. The use of sets, tools, objects or substances that could damage or make the stage slippery will not be allowed.

TICKETS: the ticket for spectators costs € 10. Tickets can be booked  by 25 April 2023, only through the secretariats of the participating schools and exclusively by filling in the booking form that will be sent to the schools once registration has been completed. If someone would watch both the sessions, could book the "passe-par-tout" at the price of 15€. The remaining tickets will be sold on the spot. Children under the age of 6 have free admission, as long as they sit in the armchair with the adults.

ART. 8: AUTHORIZATIONS AND DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

By signing the registration form, the accompanying executive declares that all members of the group he represents have absolute physical fitness to practice dance, certified by a doctor, and that the relative documentation is in the records of his / her body / association / company. It also declares that minors have obtained authorization from their parents or guardians. The regulation, which has been read in its entirety, is approved without reservation. By signing the registration form, the organization is allowed to use freely and at will, without limits, every image taken during the event.

 

ART. 9: VIDEO-PHOTOS

Video / photo shootings, exclusively entrusted to external operators, will not be allowed.

 

ART. 10: LEGAL PROTECTION

The logo and any pertinence of the PICCOLI TALENTI competition are registered trademarks for registration with the Ministry of Economic Development. For any civil or criminal dispute, the competent court is exclusively that of Livorno.

 

ART. 11: CONCLUSIONS

The organization reserves the right to modify or cancel the event or part of it due to subsequent needs, to be able to change at any time times, prizes, articulation, categories, sections, places and activities mentioned in this document without any obligation towards of the participants, who will be promptly informed. The registration money will be refunded only in case of cancellation of the event by the organization.
